"I've trained myself to always be awake when the sun is out."
-Tug

Which is working against me as I work this week of overnights. I only managed to get a 4 hour and 3 hour nap in during the daylight.

7 hours of total sleep between work shifts is ok right?

Once again my new iPhone came in handy in a way I did not expect.

The issue was someone told me I had a brake light out but didn't know which one.
After getting the lights visible I had no way of check the brake lights without stepping on the brakes.

I tried to jam something on the brake so I could run back and check but nothing I had on hand would do the trick.

That's when I got the idea to use the iPhone to record a short clip, sure enough, the video showed me which light was out.

Thanks iPhone!

"I'm feeling lots better, I can breath again, which yanno...is good."

Spent this last weekend being sick.
It was a strange sickness, I never really felt that bad. Yet my throat was just weak and scratchy. By the end of Friday night I could barely get a word out.

Saturday was defiantly the turn around day, started out bad, but again by the end I could see I was coming out of it. It did suck that I missed the big bowling gathering of friends. But I just didn't have the strength in me to force out words.

Then on Sunday I was well enough to go see my sisters volleyball game.

Last night was spent watching 'The Event' and 'No Ordinary Family' with Lucky. I have to say that after just 3 weeks I'm finding that both shows are not really holding my interest. I really don't even know if I'll give them a chance next week.

Tonight is Lucky's show night with Community and Outsourced. A new Mythbusters was on last night so I'll watch that with her.

Lucky and I really do enjoy watching TV together. Though Lucky does intense multitasking sometimes. Folding clothes, drawing, playing on her phone. I tend to just sit there and stare at the TV.

One that that has always kind of got to me is when people I know talk about traveling.

Now I like traveling for short little jounts at a time, but I keep seeming to run into people that have traveled all over the place.

I just can't get my head around how they do it.

I'm making a list of goals I want to do. I'll prolly post it when it's all finished.

"You can't stop me I have an iphone!"
-Tug yelling at work

And much laughs were had.

Today is much less stressful then the last two days, here is to hoping the commute home is just as good.

No plans for this weekend beyond the usual cleaning and grocery shopping.

I'm getting better with updating this huh?

Been updating my twitter as well, usually just once in the morning though. Usually pointing out what I hope to get out of the day.

"I added facebook to my phone and it added all my friends to my contacts!"
"O?"
"I'm not going to call these people!
-Lucky to Tug

On Saturday Lucky and I decided to take the training wheels off our phones.
I got a iPhone 4 and Lucky got a Motorola Backflip with Android.

In addition we've kinda made a commitment I guess. By joining together we've under a family plan neither one of us is paying more money.

The rest of the weekend was spent either messing with our phones, or Lucky having to put up with the insane amount of football I was watching.

I signed up for a Twitter account.
Anyone else have one?

"What's the first thing you're going to do?"
"Put furry porn on it."

Work sent me down to Chicago on Wednesday. The drive down and into the station, which was in the middle of downtown, confirmed once again that I have no desire to live in a major metropolitan area.

I didn't make it back home till a little after 1 am, but work gave me off on Thursday so I was quite happy with it in the end.

I wrote about how at work everyone is going to have to work some overnights. Well I found out today that when I'm not working the overnight. I'll be working whoever is one the overnight's shift. Kinda sucks for me, but at least I understand why they picked me. My shift overlaps with 2 other people and they have seniority over me.

Today I'll be eating with my parents in Madtown then off to waste some money. More later.

"I don't speak Jive. Look at what you text!"
-Lucky

Ok, I admit I don't usually read when I'm typing out texts at work. Sometimes this results in disaster for the recipients.

I've only really been able to send texts for about 2 years now. Before that I always told people to call me.

To be really truthful I only signed up for texts because Lucky liked to communicate that way, and I wanted her to be able to reach me at all times. This was when we were starting to date. Surprise.

"All I did couch it all day watching football, I felt worthless by the end."
"Really? I felt accomplished."
-Coworker to Tug

Maybe it's because I've been looking forward to watching this season of football. I had such a great time last year. Being able to hang out with Lucky on the couch all day.

Yesterday did not disappoint either.

At work out overnight person has put in his 2 weeks, they're looking for a volunteers but I doubt they will get any. In which case it's going to go to a rotation. I don't mind working one overnight every once in awhile. But a week might be just beyond my limit. Never been an overnight person as I feel like I'm wasting the day. That and I can just never get to sleep when the sun is up.

Anyone in the Madison area that's purty good with dem computers looking for a job?
We're trying to get two new people.

"My Butt-Sense is off!"
-Lucky

Wednesday was going to be the first day where Lucky and I were going to be getting home around the same time. I was rather excite, of course when I got home and Lucky's computer's power supply failed withing 1 min of me being home. Fate seems to have a sense of humor. I ordered her a new one and it should be here today sometime. I am even more hopeful that the power supply didn't take anything with it.

Watched the last Packer pre-game last night, I do quite enjoy watching the game on the LCD TV. Once again it made me wonder if I ever truly watched these games on anything else.

Tonight I'm going to try to pull a late night. One: Because I haven't done it in awhile. Two: Because I've been getting tired rather early again, and I need to cut that shit out.
